Blue Christmas Service

Friday, December 20th

6:00 pm

This service of song, scripture and silence is held on the longest night of the year. A “Longest Night” service or a “Blue Christmas” occurs close to the time of the winter solstice of the winter solstice. This gathering provides a space for those who are having a difficult time during the holidays or simply need to acknowledge a pain or loss they are carrying in the midst of this season.  We know it can be difficult to fully engage in the joyful celebrations of Christmas.

Serving in Worship

Our Sunday morning liturgy—the worship service—is created only through the work and gifts of many different people.  We welcome everyone to serve at Faith.  One way to serve is by assisting during Sunday morning worship services.

  • anyone can participate-children, adults, no experience necessary!
  • worship assistants, ushers, communion assistants, lectors, greeters, A/V team, acolytes, altar guild, etc.
  • contact the office at or 574-533-5760 if you are interested in serving and want more info or have questions about these ministries
  • training and instructional sessions were offered in August, 2019.  You may refer to the instructional packets here:
