Our Mission

Partnering together with God through Scripture, Sacraments, & Service.

Our Response to COVID-19

We, along with our brothers and sisters around the globe, have been dealing with the constantly changing reality of COVID-19 in our lives.  As we navigate these unknown times as a church, the health and safety of our Faith family & friends, staff, and the greater Goshen community is our top concern.  We have committed ourselves to reflect God's call of us to tend to and care for the most vulnerable among us; which means our plan for in-person worship and activities within our building requires us to be cautious and follow protocols.

Faith is currently operating in the ORANGE category.

We will be YELLOW beginning April 11th.

Our Protocols

Until the time that our ministry is able to return to pre-COVID-19 standards we ask that everyone using the Faith Lutheran building to adhere to the following protocols in order to reduce the level of risk to all our brothers and sister.

  • Only come into the building when absolutely necessary.  We ask that you make an appointment before coming with the church staff.  If you enter the building outside of office hours you must inform the church office.  This is necessary for contact tracing.
  • All individuals in the building will be required to wear a mask- either a cloth or surgical paper mask- while in the building.  We ask that you place your mask on prior to entering the church building.  Please be sure your mask covers both your mouth and nose.  Children under the age of 3 years old do not need to wear a mask.
  • Adhere to posted signage.  We have posted signage for the health and safety of all persons.  Signs will direct you on ways to enter and exit spaces, serve as reminders for best practices, and inform you of important information.
  • Those who use the building should sanitize the areas they have used with the cleaning supplies provided.
  • Do not enter the building if you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or have been in contact with others diagnosed with COVID-19.
  • Contact the church office if you are diagnosed with COVID-19 and have been within the church building in the last 48 hours.

Our Color Coded System

Our Church Council has implemented the following color coded system to help us navigate our return to in-person worship and activities based on recommendations from our Synod Bishop, the CDC, and the increase in COVID-19 cases ceases to continue in our community.  Please be aware that this system may be modified at any time due to the rapidly changing nature of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our Request for Grace

We acknowledge that living week to week by rising and falling COVID-19 rates and living with guidelines and protocols that are meant to keep us safe yet disrupt our normal routines is hard.  It is also extremely difficult work to continually evaluate these rate and guidelines in regards to how they affect our church and community.  We are grateful for the hard work of our Church Council and Staff as they have been making and will continue to make these decisions for the foreseeable future.  We ask that continue to provide them grace as they are working to keep our Faith community health and safe.
